LED ski slopes

In the “heat” of the snow season and holidays, winter sports are a favourite pastime for many of us. We turn our attention to the snowboard or skis in our cupboards even after the very first snowflakes. Night driving, which can be added to the list of favourites, is a fun thing to do and why not make is more environmentally friendly and safe?

The job can be done with LED lighting, which dramatically reduces electric power consumption and harmful CO2 emissions, lasts much longer, improves visibility and reduces reflections. It’s also much more suitable in foggy conditions and in higher elevation areas.

Whiteout is a meteorological state in which visibility and contrast have greatly been reduced due to snowfall. The horizon disappears completely and damages the skier’s orientation. LEDs penetrate the white light much better than traditional lamps and so contribute to better visibility and safer skiing.
