The future of cities: LED street lights

Imagine a high-tech, greener, developed city... To fight pollution and achieve a more environmentally friendly way of life, street lights are replaced with the more efficient LED technology in more and more places. London, Las Vegas, New York and Los Angeles are but a few of the cities that chose to meet the standards of the 21st century.

LED modules are more expensive than regular luminescent lamps that are widely used as lighting along streets, but their life is 3 to 4 times longer and their Watt/brightness ration is 2 to 3 times better, with which they reduce electricity consumption by up to 80% on an annual basis. And as Light Emitting Diodes are chips, they are going to become cheaper and cheaper in the future, experts claim. This tendency has been observed in recent years and that’s why more and more people have opted for LED lighting for their homes.

Some cities in Bulgaria have also chosen diodes but all this is only in its infant stage. V-TAC offers a wide range of street lighting which is a direct replacement for traditional lamps. It saves 80 per cent of power consumption expenses and lasts longer. Among its benefits are also the minimal maintenance needs and reduced CO2 emissions. It’s suitable for any and all outdoor spaces – streets, crossroads, tunnels, car parks, industrial sites etc.
